Gele
Is Gele going out of fashion??
Gele - As called in the Western Nigeria.
The head tie originated from women in the Western part of Nigeria.
Mostly made from Aso Oke/Ofi
The Gele is the icing to a beautiful made cake, that silver lining and that light at the end of the tunnel.
You can’t be going for an owambe event, especially a Yoruba one as a woman without your Gele, you don’t want to be catch unfresh.
The Gele adds class and elegance to the outfit especially when we are talking about Aso Oke.

Gele is not exactly going out of fashion but it’s not also as popular as it used to be.
As we evolve, fashion evolves as well.
People have overtime created new ways to wear and style Gele.
Sadly, the younger generation are not really into it, they want to flaunt that New wig, Bone straight, Deep weaves, Curls etc instead of the Aso Oke/Aso Ebi
So please if you are telling me to buy your Aso Ebi, make sure you include that Gele because my shoulder pad must stand tall
I definitely will go for a Gele anytime, any day.
Love and light
