GUY CODE101: A BRO SHALL NOT ASK ANOTHER BRO'S NAME UNTIL THE SPIRIT REVEALS IT (by OBAKHAFRE)

Guy code! I’m certain you have heard about, and if you are a guy; you are probably acting by it every day; chances are you have done something according t the guy code today. Okay, let me not get ahead of myself, let’s assume you don’t even know what this guy code is all about, or let’s say you have never heard about it before. So, here is what guy code is all about. 

It is a set of unwritten rules that an average guy, dude, man, or let’s use the word “bro” is supposed to live by every day. These rules include how to a bro is supposed to interact with another bro, behave in circle of bros and babes, deal with personal and other funny, crazy, or fancy rule (I believe you gerrit).

Now, let’s talk about one of such rules; a bro shall not ask another bro’s name until the spirit reveals it.

Funny huh? Have you heard two young dudes or group of gents calling themselves “bro”, “chairman”, “chief”, “dawg”, “my ni**a”, or in a Nigerian context; “senior man” or “my oga”? chances are you have seen this act before. Let me tell you something even crazier, these gentlemen may be best pals for some months without knowing each other’s name and feel entirely comfortable using the aforementioned pseudo-names with full understanding (been there, done it). Now this is one thing you might never understand if you are not a guy. Personally, I don’t know who wrote these codes (if I do, I would have told you), but one thing I have found out is that it is a universal rule. So, when next you see guys calling themselves funny names, chances are they don’t know each other name, and trust me that’s perfectly fine because sooner or later, the holy spirit will reveal it (but sometimes, it might be too late to switch to the new found name).
